In honor of the LEGO Movie (in theaters February 7th), we decided to build a micromanager. But not just any micromanager, this is a quadruple-sized version of the monthly mini-build giveaway (available in LEGO stores on February 4th). So it’s a mega micromanager monthly mini-build.
If that wasn’t enough, the body splits in half to reveal all kinds of robo-guts!
See it during February at the Westchester LEGO Store in White Plains, NY.
For December-January, the I LUG NY LUG Showcase Window in Westchester will be home to a battle of Hoth diorama. Complete with Ion Cannon, Power Generator, a Rogue 2 Snowspeeder, and assorted troops and equipment. What better way to celebrate the cold winter weather than to sit around the flaming wreckage of a downed Snowspeeder?
Yesterday Bill P and Rick swapped out the LUG Showcase window display at the Westchester NY LEGO Store. For November, it’s a fall-themed seasonal diorama featuring a roadside cider stand, a corn maze, a nature hike area with fall-colored trees, and a family home complete with Thanksgiving meal vignette inside. And of course, a couple of turkeys. The window is in the back left corner of the store, right by the Pick-a-Brick wall.
Bill P and Rick visited the Westchester NY LEGO store and swapped out the Portal display for a Batman one.
The Laffco Building/ Joker’s Hideout will be on display through the month of September. It is it’s first public appearance since its debut at Brickfair Virginia back in August. It was completely rebuilt from the ground up and now features a loading bay and Harley Quinn’s delivery truck. Rounding out the display are Clayface (an old Rock Raiders rock monster), some Joker’s gang thugs, and Bane’s Tumbler and the Batpod from “the Dark Knight Rises.”
Also new is the prototype LUG Showcase Window base, which adds some height to displayed MOCS as well as prominently features the I LUG NY logo. The idea shows promise, and we’re likely going to build more of them to place in all of the local windows handled by the LUG.
