How To Join

So, you’re an Adult Fan of LEGO (18 or older) in New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut? You think it’d be fun to hang out and collaborate with other local AFOLs? We’re a LEGO User Group (LUG) and that’s exactly what we do.

We’re always looking for new members.¬† Come to an event or show and talk to us! We like to network face-to-face. From there we can discuss details (it’s not much). Follow us on Facebook or Twitter to be notified of upcoming events, or just check our calendar. You can also contact us directly and we’ll arrange something.

If you’re under 18, you’ll just have to wait. Sorry! There are plenty of online communities that allow teens to participate, like Brickset (16+) or in Flickr groups.

If you’re looking for something for your child, we recommend checking out the LEGO Club and FIRST LEGO League. You can also ask your local school or library about LEGO programs.

If you’re out of range of the New York tri-state¬†area, use this map to find a LUG near you.

  1. I have just gotten interested in LEGO MOCs (My Own Creations). That has not prevented me from taking on some very large projects though! In the works are: a model of the Metropolitan Opera stage and then to produce different opera sets to go into it. With my kids I plan to build a model of the NC-4 (the first plane to fly across the Atlantic) and TinTin’s Unicorn Ship.

  2. I met some of you at comic con NYC a few months back, and I am very interested in joining the group. In the process of sorting a collection I have been working on since the early 80’s (finally, after 10 years un toched in a basement). very interested in participating in some large builds . I tend to be into castle and space for the most part but have been getting more into city.

  3. When’s the next meeting post March 16th? Are they also on weekends. Interested in joining of course.

  4. Hi, forgot to mention my name in the last email. its Emery, I’m 39 and just coming out of a 10 year dark age. I’m an avid lego fan and very interested in joining. Let me know.

  5. Hello. Over the course of the last two BrickFair events in New Jersey I spoke to and was approached by a couple of guys from your group, and on two separate occasions I was asked to attend a meeting. I was the guy who was showing a Football Stadium at last years New Jersey convention. I said I would think about it, and true to my word I have, and would like to attend one. When would your next meeting be?
