I’ve updated the LDD page, and I’m in the process of adding the MOC’s I’ve drawn up in LDD.  If any LUG members have LDD models they would like to share, drop me a line, I’ll make sure they get up there.

Alien Outpost

Brian, Rick and I just returned from the Roosevelt Field LEGO store where we installed our new Alien Outpost.  Since the Alien Conquest theme is set to be discontinued, and we never got to see the Alien’s home base, we felt the need to give our unnamed Alien Overlords a comfy place to stage the enslavement of humankind.  It has all the modern amenities that we might expect from a staging area to conquer earth, or have snacks and watch TV.  We pushed the limit of the height of a store window – the top of the model is actually touching the top of the showcase!

The Alien Outpost @ Roosevelt Field

Head on over to the Roosevelt Field LEGO store to check it out in person.  It’s certainly worth the trip.

After Today’s meeting, we installed (mostly) Rick’s beautiful Dino Diorama at the Elmhurst LEGO store in the Queens Center Mall. This is another model jam-packed with little dino-details.  The car on the left is a wonderful rendering of the automated tour car from Jurassic Park – including screaming passenger.

If you get a chance, go check it out. It’s a wonderful model, and the pictures don’t really do it justice.

LUGBULK is closing this weekend! Make sure you fill in the order sheet!

We’ve opened up the second phase of LUGBULK.

If you haven’t gotten an email about it, and believe you should have, contact me or drop me a line in a comment.  This round of LUGBULK ordering needs to be done by the end of the day on the 12th, so get cracking.
