The June Adults-Only Night at the LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Westchester was video-game themed, which is fitting since LEGO and pixel-y things go so well together.
The I LUG NY table was filled with video game-related MOCS. I brought by Portal gun and related builds. This was also the debut of my Mako from Mass Effect and wearable Pip-boy from Fallout.
Mike brought his NES controller, Galaga ship, and giant Donkey Kong. Jon brought his Link and Mario mosaic sprites. The build contest this time was to do something from your favorite video game. The three trophies were Miniland-scale versions of Link (Legend of Zelda), Laura Croft (Tomb Raider), and Sora (Kingdom Hearts). Each was removable from the base and had also had a removable weapon.
Mike, Brian and I participated in the competition. Mike got third place with his Pac-Man build and took home the Sora trophy. Brian built a Donkey Kong and I built a Master Chief bust and Halo symbol.
There was also a life-sized LEGO Wii controller that was raffled off.
The Adult-Only nights at the LEGOLAND Discovery Center are held the first Thursday of every month.
