A Billion Bricks (2013)

Bill Probert & I LUG (LEGO® Users Group) NY return to the galleries at the Stamford Museum & Nature Center for a fifth season with a LEGO® landscape of epic proportions. “BILLions” of bricks create a vast landscape of LEGO City, Pirates, Space, and Dinosaurs! The layout is filled with new and exciting elements that will captivate and amaze.

New this year is a special gallery exhibit of vintage LEGO dating back to 1935, as well as several specially-housed creations by I LUG NY members that allow an up-close and personal look.

Bendel Speedway: LEGO® Brick Race Cars
January 18, 10 am – noon & 2 – 4 pm
ILUGNY expert builders will teach and guide in the design and build process, then race your car which is yours to keep! Recommended for Ages 7 & up.

Members: $40 (1 adult/1 child), $25/add’l person
Non-Members: $55 (1 adult/1 child), $25/add’l person

b-Cause Block Party
January 25 & January 26, 10 am – 4 pm

An amazing interactive and participatory family LEGO® brick experience featuring group builds, free builds, games, arts and crafts, and a LEGO® Store. This multi-generational event has something for everyone who loves building with LEGO® and DUPLO® bricks! The b-Cause Foundation enables children to create opportunities to impact our community in meaningful ways. Proceeds from this event will support b-Cause and the SM&NC. Recommended for all ages

Lights! Camera! Action! LEGO® Animation
February 22, 10 am – noon & 2 – 4 pm

Led by Alex Kobbs, of KooberzStudios, as well as members from ILUGNY. Build an animation set and learn how to make your minifigs, as well as vehicles come alive through stop action animation!
